RFK Jr does not exactly have all his oars in the water when it comes to health. (Which is no doubt why Trump chose him to be in charge of the nation’s health.) He is convinced he knows more than the doctors, more than the scientists, more than the experts. So even though there are signs all over Rock Creek warning people not to swim in the water because it is full of sewage, Kennedy went swimming there anyway. With his grandchildren.

RFK Jr. goes swimming in DC’s Rock Creek despite NPS guidance on bacteria

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. revealed Sunday that he took a dip in Washington, D.C.’s, Rock Creek with his grandchildren, despite long-standing warnings that high bacterial levels make the Potomac River tributary unsafe.

And he boasted about it:

Rock Creek’s sewage problem is long standing, and getting worse: DC Water mobilizes for emergency repair of major sewer line at risk of collapse and endangering Rock Creek (May 2, 2025).

As New York magazine put it, RFK Jr. Spent Mother’s Day Submerged in Poopy Water:

Was RFK Jr. hoping for another worm to take up residence in his brain? Unclear. What we do know for certain is there was an indeterminate amount of time during which Kennedy was enduring one of the worst sensations a human can experience: wearing wet jeans.

As a number of comments here and there have observed, Kennedy is up shit creek. In wet jeans.
