Good morning, everyone. How about something different today? Laurie Anderson’s music is so unique it’s tough to place in any category. It’s more storytelling than your typical songs. If you are unfamiliar with Ms. Anderson’s work give it a try. There’s nothing else quite like it.

But first,

So I managed to summon enough energy yesterday to get to the nursery. I got there five minutes after it opened yet it was already full of people. I knew the day before Mother’s Day was their busiest day of the year. They had so many beautiful annual flowers. I held back with them, however. I need food producing plants first. I bought some tomato, eggplant and pepper plants. I have never had any luck starting any of those from seed. Maybe in two weeks our nighttime lows will be warm enough to actually plant them in my garden.

The only ornamental plant I splurged on was another small spider plant. They are one of the simplest houseplants to keep alive yet I think I managed to kill off my old ones last Winter. Spider plants are also, at least in my experience, safe for pets to eat. I read somewhere that they also have mild hallucinogenic properties, at least for cats. Maybe that’s why some of my cats found them irresistible.

But enough of me and my plants.

Our prolific contributor P Carey has become an esteemed MOT emeritus, so there are slots available for bloggers on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If interested contact officebss or Ozarkblue via KOSmail. Blank-slate diaries will fill in those unused slots in the meantime.

Now on with the tunes.

So what’s on your mind this morning?
