Censorship And The “Cover-Up” Together. Expect That, Always.
I had to search for news about May Day Protests. Should have been everywhere. wasn't.
I googled, anticipating, a news page full of articles. Since Thursday, May 1st, I’ve seen, maybe, ten stories, about the nationwide protests, (filled with moving image ads, so distracting).
No surprise to me, that major news outlets pretty much ignored the protests with minimum reporting about them. I saw local news stations with some attention to the protests. Youtube has been the most news I’ve found, and I had to search for it.
Censorship The suppression of speech, public communication, or other information. General censorship occurs in a variety of different media, including speech, the press-news, radio, television, books, music, films.
Trump’s media blackout A situation in which a government or other authority puts a ban on a publication of news about a particular subject, (to declare officially, that it must not be shown, or used). A media blackout is the censorship of news related to a certain topic, particularly in mass media. A media blackout may be enforced by the gov’t or state.
