The Museum Board consists of 68 members, 55 appointed by the president. Created in 1980, the Holocaust Museum is run by committees, which is why there's so many on the board. Some are automatically members by being in a certain position in the government and the rest are chosen by the president.

We've already seen what Trump did with the Kennedy Center. And the destruction that's planned for the Smithsonian, so it was only a matter of time till he got around to the Holocaust Museum. Who knows what other national treasures Trump will take over and destroy if he's left in power.

He just fired Biden appointees, starting with Doug Emhoff, Kamala Harris's husband. He was obviously not happy with this.

"Holocaust remembrance and education should never be politicized. To turn one of the worst atrocities in history into a wedge issue is dangerous, and it dishonors the memory of 6 million Jews murdered by the Nazis that this Museum was created to preserve."

Other members removed:

Ron Klain - Biden's first Chief of Staff. Tom Perez- former Secretary of Labor and senior advisor to Biden Susan Rice - Obama's National Security advisor and Biden's top domestic policy advisor Anthony Bernal - senior advisor to Jill Biden. Jon Finer - former Deputy National Security advisor

They had all been just named to the board in January.

They were all informed of their firings by an email sent by Mary Sprowls of the White House Presidential Personnel Office on Tuesday.

"On behalf of President Donald J Trump I am writing to you to inform you that your position as a member of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council is terminated, effective immediately. Thank you for your service."

They didn't get to do much service. The email was on Tuesday, April 29th, which was also the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration camp Dachau.

Sid Rosenberg is one of Trump's replacements. He was fired from Don Imus's show in 2001 when he criticized the appearances of Serena and Venus Williams and called Venus Williams "an animal."

He was at that Madison Square Garden rally last October and called Democrats "a bunch of degenerates... Jew-haters and lowlifes, every one of 'em." You can see why Trump chose him.

Jaime Raskin responded to the news: "This is a clear political strike at an institution that has worked assiduously to rise above the muck of partisan politics to address the greatest genocidal trauma are the 20th century. Donald Trump wants to turn the council into a partisan club and a weapon against anyone who does not tow the Netanyahu line in Israeli politics."

Following the removal of the Biden appointees, there were 41 left of the 55. 33 were appointed by Biden, and eight were appointed by Trump in his first term. It's sort of amazing that there's still 33 of them left. But don't put it past Trump not to fire more of them and replace them with political sycophants. He just went after the obvious targets first.

Jamie Raskin had another comment on X.

Political exploitation is Trump's middle name.

Doug Emhoff had another comment: "I will continue to speak out, to educate, and to fight hate in all its forms, because silence is not an option."

Trump has announced the replacements for those removed.

There's Sid Rosenberg. We already knew about him. Siggy Flicker a is a 57 year old lady who was on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Tila Falic is is President of the Jewish Culture High School in Miami. Described as a disruptive Zionist by the Jerusalem Post. Ariel Abergel is a Fox & Friends producer. Jackie Zeckman is Sen. Rick Scott's re-election campaign manager. Jonathan Burkan is a vp at Morgan Stanley. Lee Lipton I'm guessing is a restaurant owner in Palm Beach, and a member at Mar-a-Lago. Fred Marcus could be a NYC photographer. Barbara Feingold Is on The Board of Trustees for Florida Atlantic University. Alex Witkoff is the son of of Steve Witkoff and he's a real estate developer and also went to Wharton, just like Trump. Robert Carson is a lawyer and president of the American Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists and represented Trump in his lawsuit against Bob Woodward.

The Rabbis were obvious choices. Rabbi Pinchos Lipschutz appears to be a Hassidic Jew from his garb.

"... NEVER FORGET."

There may be a lot of Holocaust Museum supporters that may never forget almost all of Trump's choices.

Here's Siggy Flicker and Sid Rosenberg:

Siggy Flicker and Sid Rosenberg.

I consider what they did to the US flag to be blasphemous. It's just as bad as Trump using cartoons that had flags with 12 stripes and 36 Stars.

The removal of Doug Emhoff from the board is Trump's most egregious piece of petty retribution in the group. That alone has brought condemnation from many directions, as it should.

The Holocaust Museum has two slogans. "STAND AGAINST HATE," and "NEVER AGAIN: DO WHAT MATTERS."

For everything Trump represents and tries to do: NEVER AGAIN!
