MTG Confesses to Insider Trading in Committee [1]

Jasmine Crockett made the following statement, on the record, during a Committee Hearing on Fraud:
"Let's look at fraud. We could look at whether the White House and members of this committee engaged in insider trading and market manipulation, maybe it's a coincidence that the chairwomen bought hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of stock the day before Trump announced a 90-day pause on tariffs. But I guess we'll never know."
At this point another Committee member stopped the proceedings to strike Rep. Crockett’s statement because it “accuses the Chairwoman [MTG] of a crime”. During the delay, the stenographer read the statement again, a discussion was held, MTG went back on the record and made this statement:
“It’s borderline. We’re not sure. It’s borderline.” She then asked the Member to withdraw the request.
According to MTG herself, her actions were at least “borderline” illegal. Surely that’s enough for probable cause.
