Why is God playing truant from schools? [1]

This text is about “maga Christians”.

Often, I wonder if maga Christians are aware of what they are admitting when they say certain things.

They took God out of schools!

How has God been taken out of schools? When was God taken out of school? Was he expelled? If your child is Christian, Catholic or any other Christian denomination, are they being denied entry into schools? No? Then what is the problem?

Children can’t pray in school today!

That is false, children of all religions are allowed to pray in school. They can bring their prayer books, they can wear crosses and other religious accessories, they can have prayer circles, they can have bible study groups and other religious groups and meetings.

Nevertheless, I’m perplexed by your outbursts.

If you are raising your child in your faith, you practice your faith at home, attend church services etc… how is it that just because prayers are not mandated in schools, you say “God is being taken out?”… now correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t God carried in the faithful’s hearts? So if he’s in your kid’s heart, shouldn’t they be carried inside the school, inside your child? Shouldn’t your question be why is God missing from my child’s heart?

The problem isn’t that God has allegedly been taken out of school, but rather that you dear maga faithful have taken God (his teachings) out of your faith. Your faith has become weak, it has become less about God’s teachings and more about your egos, that’s the real truth right there.

You are losing influence and followers because your actions are belying your faith every single day. Your words are empty of faith, you parrot the bible, you do not practice the teachings you preach or rather rant about. You’ve bound your Gods into your cherry picked bible as securely as you once bound those you enslaved. The morals you tout are not reflected in any of your actions or stances! NONE.

You were asked to save the children, you chose guns

You were asked to feed the poor, you chose to jail them

You were asked to house the needy, you beat them instead

You were asked to protect the meek, you killed them

You were asked to welcome the stranger, you shot them

You were asked to love your neighbors, you kicked them out

Your faith was tested and you failed

We didn’t take God out of school or destroy the moral fabric of society… YOU did. For every time the choice was placed before you chose to go against your own teachings. You’ve chosen to follow the path of hate and greed instead of love and empathy, you have no one to blame but yourselves.

Have you tried leading by example, through your actions, through the way you live and conduct your lives… all we seem to get from you is hate and division… All you’ve shown of your faith is how terrible it is, or rather you are… if you are an example of the teachings of God… maybe that’s why your own kids do not carry your teachings inside their hearts with them everywhere they go including school… and that’s a good thing.
