The Doll Debate [1]

Don’t know about you, but I’ve never known a child with 30 dolls, which is why I’m perplexed as to why people keep responding to this inane take as if it were an established fact? I’ve not read/heard one take saying children of working families usually only have 2 dolls to begin with. If they have a bit more it’s over years of accumulation. Not one child do I know gets 5-10-15-20 or 30 dolls over a single Christmas.
Please stop replying to this asinine take as if it were common for children to receive 30 dolls over Christmas. The only reason this buffoon mentioned 30 dolls is because he’s never been around a child that wasn’t from a filthy rich family. The way people are replying to this inane take is as absurd as the take itself.
This is one of the problems, instead of destroying the arguments, instead of debunking the allegations, people do memes and cutsy replies… but leave intact the comment that parents/family were planning on buying their kids 30 dolls for Christmas. The rebuttal should be “the problem is, people living paycheck to paycheck, won’t be able to afford one doll this Christmas and that is if they can actually find one on the empty shelves!”.
