WASTEFUL SPENDING? Take Action Now
The House of Representatives is in session on Thursday 5/8/25 to vote no later than 3:00 PM EST on H.R. 2761, a bill to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the “Gulf of America” in federal government documents and maps.
71%2 of Americans age 18+ OPPOSE the Gulf of Mexico. 29%2 FAVOR it.
There are more important issues to work on and spending taxpayer dollars to rename it in federal government documents and maps is WASTEFUL SPENDING.
BEFORE 5/8/25, call or email your Representative and Senators to let them know if you FAVOR/OPPOSE the H.R.276 bill to spend taxpayer dollars on renaming the Gulf of Mexico in federal documents and maps. (And while you’re at it, share whether you FAVOR/OPPOSE spending taxpayer dollars on a military parade.)
