New Day Cafe: Watches, Yay or Nay? [1]

Welcome to the New Day Cafe! This is an open thread.

Do you wear a watch? Since people started carrying their phones everywhere, watches seem to mostly fall into two categories: something with technical prowess (Apple Watch, etc.) or something worn for status, i.e. a Rolex, etc..

I have some sensory issues common to people with ADHD, so I always hated the feeling of something constricting on my wrist. The last watch I was excited about was one of these. One of my grandfather’s Japanese clients gave it as a gift. Mine played “Sakura”, which was innovative then and brought me joy.

So how do you lovely people feel about watches? Do you still wear one?
