Profile In Courage Award 2025 goes to Mike Pence [1]

This will be a controversy. Why should Mike Pence get an award named after John F. Kennedy's Pulitzer Prize winning novel "Profiles in Courage" for just doing the right thing?
Because JFK's daughter, Caroline Kennedy, and Caroline's son, Jack Schlossberg, say so. They're on the committee that chooses the winner. If they had any objection, it just wouldn't happen.
Found this a long time ago, but had nowhere to use it.
From Caroline and Jack: "Political courage is not outdated in the United states. At every level of government, leaders are putting country first, and not backing down."
Mike put out a statement: "I I'm deeply humbled and honored to be the recipient of the Kennedy Profile In Courage Award. I have been inspired by the words and life of John F. Kennedy since my youth and am honored to join the company of so many distinguished Americans who have received this recognition in the past."

From Caroline and Jack: "Despite our political differences, it is hard to imagine an act of greater consequence than Vice President Pence's decision to certify the 2020 presidential election during an attack on the US Capitol. Upholding his oath to the Constitution and following his conscience, the vice president put his life, career, and political future on the line. His decision is an example of President Kennedy's belief that an act of political courage can change the course of history."
There is this funny thought I've got, that Donald Trump might actually tune in. I can just see him swearing like a sailor. It's not like it's been a big news item. He may not even know about it. Or if he did, he wouldn't watch it. Then again, he might want to watch it just to see what Mike says so he can refute it. Considering what he's getting the award for, it would infuriate Trump. Let's see if anything shows up on Truth Social. It says on Trump's schedule that he'll be back at the White House at 7:50 p.m. He's got 40 minutes to prepare for it.
Okay, I've changed my mind. Give it to Pence just to piss off Donald. That'll be worth it.
