Are Republicans cartoons or clowns? [1]

It's not just that Republicans are constantly being skewered by political cartoonists. It's that they are increasingly using it as a form of communication on their social media accounts.

Witness this one on the Department of Defense Rapid Response X account.

Credit: A bunch of idiots.

You've got a stern looking Pete Hegseth at the border wall, with some dudes that we don't know if they're the good guys or the bad guys, because one of them has drugs pasted across his chest. If they're the bad guys, Hegseth doesn't have 100% total control. Good guys don't wear hooded masks. At least they didn't used to.

First off, Pete's only got three fingers, like a Warner Bros cartoon character. The US flag is on the wrong side of the border wall. There are only 36 stars on the flag. There's only 12 stripes, missing the red one on the bottom.

If Pete is being tough for America, which America?

And what the hell is he doing at the border anyway? That's Department of Homeland Security, not the Department of Defense. Trump did talk about using military at the border. Is this supposed to soften us up for it?

DOD Rapid Response also reposted one from Elon Musk at DOGE. The really happy guy is wielding a sword, about ready to slice the dog's head off, and the dog is really happy about it. He's looking at the dog, not the money. Somebody needs to tell them the dog named Kabosu died in May of last year. Also, the stack of money is only $6 billion. We've gone from $2 trillion, to $1 trillion, to $150 billion, but the goal was really just $6 billion all along. Right.

Karoline Leavitt thought she was being exceedingly smart about reposting this cartoon about voting. The voting box turns into a paper shredder, that looks more like the one Bansky had that sliced up a drawing that he had in a frame. In reality, it looks more like a wall-mounted tank toilet. The Democratic donkey is pushing the red button, which would normally mean stop. I'm very confused. Is it trying to say that Democrats are trying to prevent people from voting? That really doesn't work with the dozens of laws that Republicans have passed every single year to cut down on the ability of people to vote, especially minorities. The swipe at district courts doesn't work either. The whole cartoon doesn't work on any level.

The White House just can't give up on Kilmar Abrego Garcia. They used the style that was used on Obama's HOPE drawing and use it on Kilmar. Take away the stupid text line at the bottom, and black out the stupid MS-13, and it looks really nice. I don't think they had a clue as to what they were doing. It would actually be a good protest sign. They even put a flag lapel pin on him.

Last you've got the classic cartoon of Donald Trump hugging a flag, looking up in a tree, we're supposed to figure out that he's holding a credit card, and then an addition of two tall flagpoles to the White House grounds. Donald did say that he was planning on adding two 100 ft tall flagpoles to the White House somewhere. Apparently the first one impales the White House itself. And the second one has a bald eagle flying into it. A nature hazard. Once again, both flags only have 36 stars on them. At least they got the stripes right this time.

Someone needs to tell the Republicans to stay away from AI generated media. Text, pictures, cartoons, videos and revenge porn. They just can't seem to do it right in any shape or fashion. What they put up is laughable.

I'm sure there's more to come. Just look at what Trump did dressed up as the Pope. They're too stupid to know that it will generate adverse reactions. If they think it good just to take over the news, it sure didn't work this time. Catholics will shoot down any Republican that supports Trump.

Maybe it's appropriate that Republicans are using cartoons to prove how cartoonish they are. We already knew that they were clowns. And real clowns are very upset at being compared to Republicans. Makes their profession look bad.

Clowns are having a tough time. They don't even use them at Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus anymore.

Bailey Circuit.

Instead, they've got a Boston Dynamics robot dog named Bailey Circuit.

It's a sign of the times. Clowns can't even get a job, and that's why they turned into Republicans.
