New Day Cafe - Saturday: Miscellanies [1]

It’s Thursday and I’m getting my diary ready because our electricity will be gone Friday night at 11:00. We’re supposed to have it back Saturday by noon. So if you don’t see me for a bit, you’ll know what happened. Ugh. They’re fixing something or reinstalling something. Whatever, I’m fixated on the fact that I won’t have the fan when I sleep and that making me irritated. The last several years I’ve needed the fan to sleep. Spouse on the other hand needs a comforter. We always seem to be on opposite ends. When I think about it, shocks me we're still married and get along, and even like each other. I generally like the winter temps inside to be at 50. He likes it at 70 but will keep it down to 65. You’re getting the picture, right?

I’ve been enjoying long chats with Grok, the AI on X. I never thought I’d appreciate chatting with an AI. But here we are. I’ve been exploring the economic history of Argentina with it. And reading a book it recommended on Archive. MAGA on X hate both Grok and Perplexity AIs because they answer with facts.

And now — onwards to a fast Saturday diary —

x We’ve had some spectacular nights under the stars during our Arches & Canyonlands #astrophotography workshop! 🤩 I have SO many photos to edit, but here’s a favorite so far. Signups for our 2026 workshop are live!

Listen closely! This heartwarming moment captures rescued tigers Milo (right) and Karma (left) sharing a sweet connection. As Milo relaxes on his back, you can hear Karma's gentle chuff as she approaches. These… pic.twitter.com/psoGcBr5RA — The Wild Animal Sanctuary (@animalsanctuary) April 30, 2025
