Turns out there is a large group of members of Congress who can actually stop the horrible actions of the current administration — who knew!

There are 220 republicans in the House of Representatives and 53 republicans in the Senate. What have they done recently to stop the dismantling of our government and democracy?

Leader Thune provides cover for the FOTUS’ budget.

x From quickly confirming @POTUS' core team, to moving a budget resolution that unlocks the process for enacting President Trump’s agenda, we have had a remarkably successful first 100 days in the Senate.

There’s a lot more work to be done, and we’ll continue to keep our foot on… — Leader John Thune (@LeaderJohnThune) April 16, 2025

x .@POTUS has laid out a bold, pro-growth agenda. Senate Republicans are strong partners in helping him achieve it for the American people. pic.twitter.com/KkDHcfLYla — Leader John Thune (@LeaderJohnThune) April 30, 2025

Proud of the very little work being done in the Senate.

x Today marks 100 days of “promises made, promises kept."@POTUS continues to follow through on the promises he made to the American people, and I’m proud that the Senate has been here to help. pic.twitter.com/ModM2mGUfj — Leader John Thune (@LeaderJohnThune) April 29, 2025

He seems just fine with Hegseth at the helm of the DOD.

x John Thune weighs in on turmoil at DOD, says he supports Hegseth’s mission of focusing on the warfighter but that Hegseth needs to get a team around him that the secretary is comfortable with — Max Cohen (@maxpcohen) April 28, 2025

Tariffs are no big deal...sorry regular people, things just cost more.

x The cowardice here is disgusting. The Constitution gives Congress the power over tariffs, not the president. John Thune should not be deferring to Trump. He should be asserting Congress' authority and marshaling Republicans to take the power over tariffs back. https://t.co/w7QSrtuKr4 — James Surowiecki (@JamesSurowiecki) April 8, 2025

Sure, due process is nothing more than give and take, not a constitutional right.

x REPORTER: Do you think the president and his administration should comply with federal court rulings?

THUNE: Well, I think what you're seeing right now is the natural give and take between branches of the government pic.twitter.com/2Zn0uobhK0 — Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) February 11, 2025

Here’s the latest from Speaker Johnson…

That’s a novel idea!

x Trump is frustrated that his agenda -Cutting benefits like Social Security and Medicaid -Illegally firing federal workers -Disappearing people without due process Is being frustrated by those pesky judges who actually apply the Constitution So Mike Johnson found a solution Eliminate the courts

Not at all concerned about our national security.

x Mike Johnson is

a hypocrite protecting his own power & the evils of this traitorous administration.

He has no religious conviction, just a dedication to power and profit.

Not concerned about his constituents either.

x 5/ Mike Johnson? Speaker of the House. A staggering 88,000 of his constituents lose their health care coverage under the $880 billion Medicaid cuts package. — Josh Marshall (@joshtpm.bsky.social) April 30, 2025 at 12:55 PM

Doesn’t seem like a smart idea at all.

So there you have it — the republican leaders in Congress enabling the corrupt FOTUS and his corrupt cabinet.

Are we blaming them yet? Are we blaming *any* republicans yet?

Sure doesn’t seem like it, which is making them very happy. They love to see us blaming Sen. Schumer for their actions — LOVE IT! There are people here who spout republican talking points, and who take their cues from the republican agenda.

You want to see action, actual action to stop this administration? Then quit shitting on the ONLY party that can do that if they win enough seats in the mid-terms next year.
