I just looked at some of the news items in my Bluesky feed and…
Chile, I just can’t today...especially when I don’t have to.
It’s bad enough that I went shopping for a flash drive today and one store didn’t ANY on the shelves.
Another store did have some on the shelves but they cost more than twice as much as I usually pay for them.
Thing is...I didn’t even think so much about me as about the fact that a major university is sitting a few blocks from where I was shopping.
All those students and assistants and professors and...I mean, there is a town around this university as well.
There are at least eight universities that I can think of in Chicago and the Chicago area off the top of my head; I currently live about two miles from my alma mater, for example.
Multiply that out by the number of schools around the country. Just from that vantage point alone (never mind all other people that continue to use flash drives for various reasons...)...and that’s only for one electronic item that is, apparently, not exempt from the tariffs placed on them by Trump…
Strange thing that has always been true about this Oval Office occupant: It’s strange what really gets me highly pissed off. It might be a big thing or a little thing.
And...it hasn’t been an altogether bad day, either.
That’s why I probably need to shut it down tonight.
