84 years ago, Stalin had a May Day Parade and invited a high-ranking delegation from Nazi Germany. 7 weeks later Hitler invaded the USSR. OTOH making Stephen Miller the National Security Adviser is likely more of a trial balloon.

President Putin is considering returning the city of Volgograd to its previous name, Stalingrad, for the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany.
Named in honour of the Soviet leader, Joseph Stalin, in 1925, the southern Russian city was the site of a decisive victory for the Red Army that fatally weakened German forces on the Eastern Front.
It was renamed Volgograd in 1961 during the de-Stalinisation campaign of Nikita Khrushchev, Stalin’s successor.
