Religious liberty is for Christians only - new executive order [1]

"Fine people on both sides," is how Trump described the Nazis in Charlottesville parading anti-semitism in plain sight. Now Trump is using his fake crusade against anti-semitism to attack anyone who criticizes Israel or show support for the Palestinians. At the same time he has turned into the judge of who is Jewish or not. Trump said Chuck Schumer was no longer a Jew. He was a Palestinian.

Trump put out an executive order titled Establishment of the Religious Freedom Commission, or RFC. Remember the Spanish Inquisition? We just got one. And it's wrapped up in what seems innocuous language. RFC normally means Request For Comments. Not this time.

"In recent years, some Federal, State, and local policies have threatened America's unique and beautiful tradition of religious liberty."

Federal, meaning Biden did it. Or Obama.

"These policies attempt to infringe upon longstanding conscience protections, prevent parents from sending their children to religious schools, threaten loss of funding or denial of nonprofit tax status for faith-based entities, and single out religious groups and institutions for exclusion from governmental programs."

Nothing has ever prevented a parent from sending their child to a religious school. What he's talking about is the government funding religious schools which is actually against the First Amendment. Congress shall make no law recognizing a religion. When a religious school is a for-profit operation, it doesn't deserve nonprofit tax status. It's a contradiction of terms. Then he has the gall to quote President Ronald Reagan.

"President Ronald Reagan reminded us that 'freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.'"

The greatest tyrant the United States has ever seen talks about freedom, when he has done everything he can to extinguish it.

14 members are to be picked by the president from various sectors of society.

"The Commission shall produce a comprehensive report on the foundations of religious liberty in America, the impact of religion on American society, current threats to domestic religious liberty in America..."

Somebody should tell Donald to go to a library. You will find dozens if not hundreds of books on the subject. A new book doesn't need to be written by the government. In fact it's against the Constitution to do so.

That report will also include current threats, strategies to preserve and enhance, protections for future generations, programs to create awareness of religion, and celebrate religious pluralism.

The commission will consider:

First Amendment rights of pastors, religious leaders, houses of worship, faith-based institutions, and religious speakers Attacks across America on houses of worship Debanking of religious entities First Amendment rights of teachers, students, military chaplains, service members, employers, employees Conscience protections in the healthcare field and concerning vaccines mandates Parents authority to direct the care, upbringing, and education of their children, including the right to choose a religious education Permitting time for voluntary prayer and religious instruction at Public Schools Government displays with religious imagery

5 is against AMA medical practices. 7 and 8 are unconstitutional. It's a short step from permitting to demanding. Putting up the pictures of Christ would also allow the putting up of pictures of Satan. Neither one is a good thing. If they're talking about the Ten Commandments again, that's already been struck down too many times. The only thing representing Trump would be the golden calf made by Aaron and destroyed by Moses.

The fact sheet says nothing more than the executive order, except for battling anti-semitism on college campuses, and also:

"Creating the 'Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias' at the Department of Justice to end the anti-Christian weaponization of government and unlawful targeting of Christians."

Right here, you've got Christians singled out. Not jews. Not Muslims. Not Hindu. Not Buddhist. This is recognizing one religion as being the religion of the United States. They put on a show about Jews, but they really mean just Israel. They couldn't care less about the Jews in America. It's all a scam to attack Palestinians and those who protest in their favor.

Once you have the government getting into the business of proselytizing, things are going to go bad very quickly. We should have seen this coming when Trump created the Office of Faith in the White House run by a televangelist. Wrapping himself up in religion, Trump thinks he's protected from harm. All he is doing is demeaning religion, turning it into a play thing, like he's playing with the government. It's another weapon in the guise of doing something good.

The 14 members on the commission receive no salary, but there is a carve out for travel expenses and per diem in lieu of subsistence. So it may not be a lot, but you've got taxpayer money being put to use for an unconstitutional purpose. Of course, we could be saying that about the entire Department of Justice at the moment. Then there will be the money spent on generating the unnecessary report.

Trump imagines himself to be a religious warrior, when in reality he is a whimpering fool. But a dangerous one. There are other games of foot in this unconstitutional crusade. There's a case right now in front of the Supreme Court about religious choices in school. There's the FCC going after YouTube TV for not carrying a religious broadcaster.

The Religious Freedom Commission is going to be anything but about freedom. It's about shoving Christianity down everyone's throats. Its actions like this that turn people off to religion and places of worship. People don't like being told what to do, and that's exactly what this Commission is doing.

There have been books written about Trump actually being the Antichrist. We need to see if he's got 666 as a birthmark underneath that hair.
