Sorry for my absence the last couple of Wednesdays. Any rumors that I was pouring maple syrup into ballot boxes in Polievre’s district are of course completely slanderous.

The hardest part of moving states isn’t figuring out where you packed everything. Or sleeping on air beds. Or wondering what to do with all the freakin’ boxes afterward.
The hardest part is getting a prescription refilled.
We spent more than a week going round & round with the doctors, the pharmacy, the insurance company, the old state, the new state. And there’s a whole other layer of bureaucracy because our insurance used to be through my job and now it’s through my retirement organization. Doctor says the prescription was sent; pharmacy says they don’t have it. Finally, on a should-have-been-unnecessary trip to Urgent Care, we learned that the prescription was indeed sent — to the pharmacy we used to use, now several hundred miles away. This despite starting EVERY phone call with an explanation that we’d moved, and confirming the address I don’t know how many times. Finally got what we needed, but seriously:
NATIONAL HEALTH CARE NOW, PLEASE!
