Three Poems for Poetry Month and for the Resistance. [1]

Three Poems for National Poetry Month and for our current state of affairs…
The first poem is a more of a philosophical one, as human history shows we have run through this pattern before. The second poem is an emotional call for resistance. The third poem is based on a diary I posted a couple of days ago and is a call for action.
The Big Picture
What the ruling fascists
and the super-rich
nor the petty tyrants –
boss, cop or priest
understand...
One basic underlying law
– of this reality –
is for each of us to reach
ever forward to our
unlimited potential,
a seething wave towards
the fullness of life's transcendent goal –
which maybe halted for awhile,
but the ultimate challenge of each
individual's pod
of awareness,
will be met...
whether in our current human bodies or
some other configuration
of matter and energy,
eons hence.

We Will
YOU CAN...
Enslave our bodies
Steal our land and obscure our culture
Legislate our wombs
Deny us opportunities
Repress our education
Spread lies that mask the truth
WE WILL...
Free ourselves and kindred
Retake our lands and history
Regain our autonomy and choices
Find new ways to climb mountains
and see the sun
Seek knowledge on our own and
make ourselves whole and wise
And tear out all the demon tainted tongues
of liars and ban their owners
from the world.

56 to 500
In 1776, fifty-six people pledged
their lives and their fortunes
to a new country built upon
a simple principle herein paraphrased:
"All beings are created equal with the right
to pursue their own chosen paths."
Now 249 years later, the Republic
is being destroyed by a narcissistic fascist,
his racist enablers and the over-privileged rich
who threaten the health, well-being and
democratic process of its citizens
as substitute for the voids in their empty lives.
Today, five hundred people could stop
the unraveling of the United States
by standing up to and impeaching,
with removal, the current president,
these men and women – Senators and Representatives,
rolling on, could pass veto-proof bills
to restore the full trust of the government and
its functionality and thus secure
the well being of its population...
will they?
If the integrity of too many lack the willingness
to act, now, in the public good,
such cowards, who bow to greed, fear and power,
need to be replaced by elections and recalls
until a majority enacts with truth and
with kindness what is necessary to do
to fulfill the promise of the Declaration
of Independence
and revive the Constitution's Rule of Law –
saving the United States of America.
