Bill Owens, the Executive Producer of “60 Minutes”, resigned in protest after CBS/Paramount instructed him to cave in to pressure from Donald Trump to tailor the TV newsmagazine’s reporting more to the felonious President’s liking. Presumably, CBS/Paramount will find a new Executive Producer who doesn’t care about journalistic integrity.

If enough media companies cave into the tyrant’s demands, the fourth estate will no longer function as a watchdog against government corruption. Government control of the news media is one of the hallmarks of a totalitarian regime. If you’re thinking “It can’t happen here”, wake up. It already is happening here!

I for one am very tick-tick-tick-ticked off about this.
