On Thursday, the founder of a media firm that tracks shipping trends reported that daily volumes this week are equivalent to Thanksgiving and Christmas Day—the two slowest shipping days of the year. The founder, Craig Fuller, also warned truckers to avoid hauling shipments to Los Angeles since they would likely have to “deadhead” back home—the industry term for driving an empty load.

This one is easy. I believe China. Japan, China, Canada and others won’t surrender to the bullies.
If the tariffs aren’t lifted, there is no doubt we are headed to higher prices and empty shelves. The last time it was pandemic induced. This time it’s the scourge of Trump and his enablers. Scott Bessent and his rich buddies aren’t worried about the empty shelves, because they’re the power elite who won’t feel a thing while people suffer.
