White to move and mate in two #658 — Slumdog Millionaire [1]

My wife and I were in Goa, India in February of 2009 the night Slumdog Millionaire won the Oscars for best picture, and best director (Danny Boyle). Needless to say, the place went wild with cars cruising up and down the road that runs by the hotel, honking their horns all night long. If you've ever been to India, you get that honking one's horn there is like breathing, but still...
I didn't get to see the film until we got back home and I bought the DVD. I liked it a lot, but gosh there were a few brutal scenes in a jail that were tough to watch. Slumdog Millionaire isn't everyone's cup of Darjeeling, but it just might live up to the accolade of 'The feel-good film of the decade'. You can view a trailer for the film here:
