Trump tries to command Indigenous Peoples' Day to the dustbin [1]

Donald is upset that Indigenous Peoples' Day is becoming more popular than Columbus Day. Columbus Day is still the federal holiday name, but Trump thinks Chris isn't getting his fair due anymore.
As usual, the white guy thinks the white guy is being discriminated against by DEI Indigenous Peoples. He's just got to do something about it.
"I'm bringing bringing Columbus Day back from the ashes."
As I said, it's still a federal holiday. He's going after it like Christmas versus Happy Holidays. Gotta be Christian, or it ain't a holiday.
"The Democrats did everything they could to destroy Christopher Columbus, his reputation, and all the Italians that love him so much."
Damn! I did not know that Democrats were destroying Italians. Do we need to make Trump an offer he can't refuse?
"They tore down his Statues, and put up nothing but "WOKE," or even worse, nothing at all!"
There have been 40 statues taken down, with good reasons, like showing Columbus on a horse and Native Americans in a suplicant position. There are still 130 of them left. So, being an Indigenous person or People is "woke," now. You keep forgetting that woke is a good thing to everyone but your rabid MAGA followers. Being awake, aware of your surroundings and situation. It's not a curse word like you and your ilk try to make it, like with DEI.
Then he gets really stupid and ignorant.
"I am hereby reinstating Columbus Day under the same rules, dates, and all locations, as it had for all the decades before!"
We are going to get into a problem with state's rights here. If he's telling 12 States and Washington, D.C., that they can't celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day instead of Columbus Day, this is still another constitutional crisis in the making. He says all locations. He actually cannot do this. The day is a federal holiday, and the states can observe it as a federal holiday, but they can call it whatever they want. In fact, states and cities can decide not to observe them at all. Federal holidays are just that, federal. This is not like federal law taking precedence over state law. Same with observing daylight savings time.
Donald has found still another cause celebre to stake out like the Gulf of Mexico. Unnecessary. Just because he wants to, he thinks he can. Nope, not this time. If he tries to freeze funds to states that don't comply, there will, as I said, be another constitutional crisis.
I hate to think of what he's going to proclaim for his birthday, June 14th. How about Traitor's Day? Putin Kisser Day? Krasnov Day? Orange Jesus Day? Feel free to add your own in the comments.
The White House put this up on their X account:
