There are the smiles that never come

There are the tears that are never shed

There are the invisible scars no one sees

And the aches deeply buried

There is always the anger brewing

The fury that lurks underneath

The rage seeping out at times

And aches seething under the surface

There is the self-loathing behavior

The shove of every helping hand

The rejection of every overture

And aches that throbs everyday

There is the hypocrisy of well being

The faking of things are gonna be all right

The mocking of a purposeful life

And aches that grows underneath

There is the day of discovery

The secret hidden inside everyone

The truth we always seek to hide

The knowledge that everyone

Carries

their own

Aches...

Everyone
