Trump just flew to Rome, and boy, are his arms tired [1]

Trump is in Rome to attend Pope Francis's Funeral. He and Melania will be staying at Villa Taverna, the U.S. Embassy in Rome.
Villa Taverna.
It's a very large structure and ornate inside. Trump will feel right at home like at Mar-a-Lago. Darn.
He must have been bored because he started posting in Truth Social on the way on Zelenskyy, a re-tweet of a Libs of TikTok post all happy about Judge Hannah Dugan being arrested, big news out of Africa, pissed off that Deion Sanders didn't get picked in the first round of the NFL draft, and about Russia and Ukraine.
I have no idea what's been going on about the Ukraine minerals deal, but Donald think things aren't moving fast enough.
"It is at least three weeks late. Hopefully it will be signed IMMEDIATELY."
Does Zelenskyy lose his deposit if he waits any longer? Does he need a notary public? No exclamation point but the all caps shows some desperation.
"Work on the overall Peace Deal between Russia and Ukraine is going smoothly. SUCCESS seems to be in the future!"
Last I remember Donald was begging Putin to stop. Stop attacking Ukraine. Marco Rubio was washing his hands of the whole thing. Did some low-level flunky have success where the high-level flunkies didn't?
Then he was so pleased about Judge Hannah Dugan being arrested by the FBI. What is the Supreme Court going to think about this one? It was bad enough when Trump refused the Supreme Court's orders about Kilmar Abrego Garcia. This sets up a crisis like no other that has happened since Trump took office. Can the Judge still order her own release? I hope there's some video of the incident. I just checked and she was charged and released. I think she needs to get a lawsuit going immediately.
Then, Trump sticks his nose in where it doesn't need to be. Africa doesn't need Trump, just like every other continent doesn't need Trump interfering. He's pulled us back from the world so why is he making trouble now?
"Big news coming out of Africa, where I am involved in settling violent wars and conflicts."
The only thing I'm aware of is Trump think the Blacks in South Africa are stealing white land and killing Afrikaners.
"... we have done an unprecedented job in getting them SETTLED or, putting them in the position for PEACE. STAY TUNED!!!"
Sudan? Yemen? Ethiopia? Somalia? Niger? Chad? Nigeria? You can't be talking about the Middle East because then you'd say the Middle East instead of Africa.
Skipping the football post.
Trump seems cheerful about talks between Russia and Ukraine. He knows that Zelenskyy won't give up an inch of territory including Crimea. So why, a day later, does he think things are going well?
"They are very close to a deal, and now the two sides should meet, had very high levels, to 'finish it off.'"
I just don't believe Trump. He's putting on a show to make it look like things were working out, and then when it doesn't, it's not his fault. It'll be Biden's again.
"Most of the major points are agreed to. Stop the bloodshed, NOW."
If only Trump's word meant something. The world keeps track of what he says, but they don't follow his orders.
"We will be wherever is necessary to help facilitate the END to this cruel and senseless war!"
Speaking of facilitate, how about getting Kilmar out of El Salvador?
No mention of Putin or Zelenskyy this time. Wherever is necessary. How about you going to Kyiv? Biden was able to do it. You're just scared of getting killed because you have no control over the situation. Coward.
Trump is actually doing something presidential. A respectful, I hope, visit to an important funeral, representing the United States. He could do no less after JD Vance killed the Pope.
Thankfully, there will be no executive orders, no memorandums, no fact sheets until Monday. With Trump out of the country, the stock markets closed up a notch.
Maybe there'll be some good protests to follow. There's ones every day. Only the big ones across the country get coverage.
Maxwell Frost and Chris Murphy are on their own town hall tour in locations across the country.
This, yesterday.
And here's what The Economist thought of Trump's tenure.
