Target fumbled the fake Louis Vitton bag (and 12.5 Billion Dollars) when they dumped DEI [1]

In a bit of good news among this clusterfuck of late-stage capitalism and Trumpism, boycotting still works (for now—watch MAGA try to outlaw that next because “wokeism or communism” or some shit).
Target’s CEO Brian Cornell (pronounced Tar-shay for the fancy) practically broke his damn neck running to kiss Trump’s orange ring, proudly announcing Target would gut DEI hiring practices without even being asked!
How's that for unpaid White supremacist loyalty?
He Seig Heil-ed harder than Elon Musk at a MAGA mixer.
Cornell thought tossing DEI and ghosting Pride Month gear would win over racist wallets. What he didn’t count on? Most Americans aren't jackboot racists—only loud sociopathic MAGA types who think any Black job is a "handout" while Chad gets promoted for simply breathing.
Enter the FAFO phase.
Cue Jamal Washington (our hero), who organized a boycott with allies and a simple message: "If you snatch DEI, we snatch our dollars."
And snatch we did—so hard Target lost $12 BILLION in market value and foot traffic is still dropping like MAGA tears at a Beyoncé concert.
Receipts on why this boycott hurt so good:
Black buying power : Over $1.98 trillion annually.
Black-owned businesses : Growing 2x faster than the national average.
Boycott reach : Viral on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
Allies: Multiracial, multigenerational, and tired of fake inclusion.
Now Cornell wants to meet with Al Sharpton (insert eye roll), like he’s Black America’s Pope or something.
Sir. Sir. We don't have a king. We have Cash App.
Too late, boo. We’ve packed our bags, our wallets, and our dignity.
