White Welfare Queen: Trump’s Solution to Babymaking [1]

Oh, so now we’re doing Russian domestic policy? That’s where we are?
According to People magazine — which somehow has become the communications hub for Trump’s “policy ideas” — Team MAGA is “pondering” a new motherhood incentive package to tackle America’s falling birthrate. They’re floating things like cash bonuses for having babies and calling it “pro-family,” “pro-baby,” and “pro-America.”
I call it what it is:
A government-funded bribe to make white women birth more citizens for red states.
This isn’t about solving any real problem. It’s about engineered fertility — wrapped in a Stars and Stripes blanket, dipped in misogyny, and served to the public like it’s a Hallmark card.
It’s giving:
White. Welfare. Queen.
Let’s Be Clear — This Ain’t About the Kids.
The US isn’t facing a “birthrate crisis” — we’re facing a policy crisis. People aren’t having children because the country makes it nearly impossible to raise them with security, support, or dignity.
You want to know why birthrates are falling?
Because childcare is more expensive than college tuition in most states.
Because women are dying from childbirth at rates higher than any other developed country — especially Black women.
Because 26 states have criminalized or gutted access to abortion , and now they’re coming for IVF and contraception.
Women who want to have children don’t have access to fertility treatments through their health insurance plans.
Men have insurance coverage to generic Viagra , while treatment options for Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD) for women are either prohibitively expensive or not covered by insurance at all .
Because we’re expected to work like we don’t have kids and parent like we don’t have jobs.
Because we have zero guaranteed paid family leave, no universal pre-K, and a public school system under siege by culture war fanatics.
The problem isn’t that people don’t want children — it’s that they don’t want to raise them in hell.
But instead of fixing hell, Trump wants to throw a dollar at your uterus and see what sticks.
“National Merit of Motherhood”? Get the Entire Fuck Outta Here.
The face of the “National Medal of Motherhood” recipients. Poor. Disenfranchised. Stuck. No one deserves to be cast into poverty with no choices and a $5000 check is a pittance and is MONSTROUSLY insulting.
Yes, they’re really calling it the National Merit of Motherhood — like it’s some kind of honor badge or Olympic title.
Imagine being told you’re a “mother of merit” by a man found liable for sexual abuse in a court of law. Imagine getting a taxpayer-funded ribbon from the same party that cheered when women were forced to bleed out in hospital parking lots rather than get the emergency abortions they needed.
This isn’t a policy. It’s a PR campaign for patriarchy — one where women are praised not for their intelligence, ambition, or leadership, but for their ability to produce state-approved offspring.
They don’t want empowered women.
They want baby factories with good manners and government stipends.
It’s giving “state-owned femininity.” It’s giving “Red State Handmaid.” It’s giving Soviet Russia cosplay with a Bible belt accent.
Let’s Talk About the Real “Welfare Queen” Now
For the past 40 years, Republicans — and Trump in particular — weaponized the “welfare queen” stereotype to attack Black mothers. It was the backbone of Reagan-era racism, the dog whistle of every Fox News segment, and the foundation of countless cuts to social safety nets.
But now?
Suddenly government money for babies is noble — as long as it’s white women in Alabama doing the birthing.
They’re creating a new class of paid motherhood: women who are incentivized to have more children with no structural support, no long-term investment, and no accountability from the men who impregnate them — just like the caricature they once used to demonize us.
But here’s what they’re not saying out loud:
The states most likely to benefit from this aren’t blue-state hubs with existing family infrastructure.
The faces of every Southern white politician when their stock portfolios from federal contracts SOAR at the expenses of their electorates.
They’re the poorest Southern states — places like Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas — where abortion has been banned, prenatal care is a fantasy, and maternal mortality is sky-high. The same states that already rely most heavily on federal assistance like TANF, SNAP, and WIC.
By forcing a baby boom in these regions without fixing systemic poverty, they’ll balloon the welfare rolls — not reduce them. And guess what? That means more federal money flowing into red states that vote against every social safety net — even as they quietly depend on it to survive.
That money doesn’t fall from heaven. It increases the national debt. It weakens the economy. It leaves all Americans broker, sicker, and globally irrelevant, while red-state governors pretend they’re building prosperity off bootstraps and Bibles.
Except it’s our taxes. And their patriarchy.
And yes, they’ll still call it “family values.”
Trump’s Not Pro-Family. He’s Pro-Control.
Let’s not pretend Donald Trump gives a damn about families.
This is a man who:
Locked children in cages and lost track of their parents.
Tried to cut food stamps during a pandemic.
Told women to “go back to their country.”
Stiffed workers on wages and ran six bankrupt businesses into the ground — including Trump University, which defrauded low-income people out of their life savings in exchange for a fake diploma.
This is the man who couldn’t even apologize to the Exonerated Five, after taking out a full-page ad calling for their execution — even after they were proven innocent. (I’m gonna mention this shit as much as possible because I’m offended by the shit SO MUCH.)
And now he wants to hand out state money to new mothers and pretend it’s about care?
No, baby. This is white welfare. Dressed up like patriotism. Funded by exploitation.
If You Want More Babies, You Need Better Policy — Not Bribes
Want to increase birthrates? Try this:
Pass paid family leave.
Make childcare affordable or free.
Protect reproductive rights.
Forgive student debt.
Fund schools, not prisons.
Pay a living wage.
Stop killing Black and brown mothers in delivery rooms.
And for God’s sake, stop letting Christian nationalists run statehouses.
We don’t need medals for motherhood.
We need infrastructure that respects motherhood — and all parents, period.
Say It With Me: This Is White. Welfare.
This is Trump’s endgame:
A subsidized baby boom in MAGA states to offset their aging, undereducated voter base.
It’s not about the children.
It’s about control.
It’s about election math.
It’s about punishing women who dare to want more than a life of unpaid labor and state-purchased domesticity.
And the scariest part?
If he wins, he’ll sell this plan as salvation — while cutting every other program that actually keeps families alive.
What About the Dads? Let’s Talk About Real Responsibility.
Now let’s get into the absolute clownery of the logistics.
If this motherhood bonus is going to be a real policy, here’s a question: Does the dad get a cut?
Because in Texas — land of trigger bans and trigger fingers — they just passed a law that says life begins at conception when it comes to child support. That means a man could now technically be on the hook for child support payments before the baby is even born.
So if that’s true — and if this birth bonus gets real — can the dad sue the mother for “his half” of the National Merit check? Will he take her to court for his “share of the fetus dividend” while still refusing to show up to parenting class?
And while we’re here:
Will the bonus offset the fact that so many men stay in arrears on child support?
Or will this just be another empty check that reinforces the old story:
The state will reward you for giving birth — as long as you’re silent, married, and white.
This is the Orange Assclown — “Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, You’re cool, fuck you and I’m out.”
Let’s be honest — this is just a cheap PR stunt to bolster the white evangelical machine that pushed for abortion bans without giving a damn about what happens after birth. This is the MAGA movement’s way of saying:
“See? We’ll support you through your whole pregnancy!”
As. Fucking. If.
These people don’t support women — they exploit them. They don’t support children — they conscript them. And they don’t support families — they engineer them.
Who Are We Making Babies For?
America isn’t running out of people.
It’s running out of places where people feel safe, seen, supported, and free.
If the country was worthy of its children, people wouldn’t need bribes to create them.
So no, I don’t want your bonus check.
I want a world where children are wanted, protected, and raised in dignity.
Until then?
Keep your “National Merit of Motherhood.”
And shove your state-sponsored uterus fund where the sun don’t shine. ASSHOLE.
