Is Harvey Weinstein a Rapist or a John [1]

This is going to be another short story. It’s sincere, but it’s so un-woke that it may not be comprehensible to many.

I am confused by the Weinstein situation. Weinstein was a powerful Hollywood producer with the ability to make women movie stars. A lot of women apparently want that. So Harvey had something some women wanted.

And women had something Harvey wanted.

So was it not an exchange? I did not see anywhere that Weinstein was a rapist. All I saw was an exchange, where Harvey bartered something he had — not money ithis case, but potential movie stardom — with women who gave him sex for not money, but a shot at stardom.

So set me straight. Of course the explicit sale of sex for consideration, monetary or otherwise, is a form of prostitution, and is repugnant. But where’s the rub? Did Harvey force himself on women, or just trade sex for favors? What’s the deal with Harvey?
