I’m not really Catholic. I just went to Catholic school because I happen to live in Chicago, and Chicago Public Schools are f*cked up, and my parents paid for me to go to private school. I wore plaid skirts and knee socks and shit. And there were nuns, and mass and everything. But I was just visiting. I didn’t belong there. But I can’t help feeling sorry about the Pope. He seemed to be trying to be a good guy. But I guess even the Pope can’t beat the system.
Here's a joke:
A limousine driver was assigned to pick up the Pope at the airport. He was surprised to find him all alone without an entourage, but he collects him and his luggage and begins to take him to his destination.
The Pope starts begging him to let him drive. “They never let me drive anymore, will you let me drive?” he keeps asking.
The limo driver doesn’t want to make the Pope unhappy. He doesn’t want the Pope to complain about him. So, he gets in the back and lets him drive.
The Pope drives like a madman, and a cop stops them.
The cop takes one look and runs back to his squad car and gets on the radio. “I have a situation here,” he reports. “It’s a VIP!”
“Is it the mayor?” he’s asked.
“No!”
“Is it a senator?”
“No!”
“Is it the governor?”
“No!”
“Is it the president?”
“No! I think it’s God!” the cop cries.
“Why do you think it’s God?” he’s asked.
“The limo driver is the Pope!”
It’s just a joke. But we can all be gods if we want to. All you have to do is care.
