I Did NOT Hear Musk Say He is Leaving DOGE [1]

Maybe it was just me getting distracted or misunderstanding what I heard, but I’m pretty sure must emphasized that his work at DOGE is critical to saving the universe and that he will adjust his “time allocation”. I think he very clearly did NOT say that he would leave DOGE.

I think the AP is right that he said he would step back, but there was nothing about him leaving or ending his work with trump. If anything, it sounded like he thought DOGE was more important than anything else he talked about.

I think the news people are interested in is whether he is actually leaving DOGE or perhaps even his roll as head of Tesla. That make the “news” aspect of his statements only that he is neither leaving DOGE or Tesla.

Sometimes I think it is just me, but US mainstream news seems so bloated with gossip about who said what about who or regurgitating obviously highly groomed PR statements.

i would love to hear that I’m miss reading this and that the AP and other news sources actually got this right.
