A Traffic Stop, a Trump Sticker, and a Smile I Couldn’t Hide [1]

On this rainy afternoon in Gwinnett County, GA, I was headed to the local grocery store when a traffic stop caught my attention. As required by Georgia law, drivers are supposed to move to the far left lane and slow down when passing a stopped police vehicle — give a wide berth for safety.
Naturally, I slowed way down and took a good look. 👀
What I saw: a Black male police officer at the driver’s window of a pickup truck, having what appeared to be a “spirited” conversation with an older white woman who was gesturing from behind the wheel. And yes — there was a Trump sticker loud and proud on the back window. Sigh.
I don’t know what led to the stop — maybe she ran the red light, maybe she was speeding, or maybe her tags were expired. What I do know is she didn’t look thrilled about the situation.
And I’ll admit it — I let out a little whoop of joy.
On my way back home nearly 20 minutes later, they were still there. I snapped this photo from the road. And yeah... it made me smile. Maybe that’s a little petty, but hey — I’m okay with that.
