Trump gets a gift from China and he still loves tariffs [1]

Trump was posting like an absolute madman on Easter. Here's another set.
The pictures were taken who knows where, but Trump says it's China. It looks like they have taken steps to collect ocean garbage. What happens from there is unknown. We just let it float free and wash up on beaches.
If you look at the top left pic, you can see coastline on the right. So, they've collected it out past the shoreline so it doesn't wash up on the beaches. It's not a "Gift." It's doing something about the problem. Corporations here, like bottled water and soda companies, use PET plastic and don't recycle it because it's cheaper not to, not because it can't be done. There's more in the picture besides plastic, but there is so much plastic that finds it's way into the ocean. Marine life eat it thinking it's food, we eat the marine life and wonder why we have so much microplastic in our bodies and drinking water.
The Pacific Ocean garbage patches are off of Japan and between Hawaii and California.
Trump still calls the massive tariffs he levied on April 2nd as "Liberation Day," which he then had to rescind, leaving 10% in place for everybody.
"It's good to know that the World sees us as serious, because WE ARE!"
The world is laughing at you, personally, but you have forced them to negotiate to rid themselves of your insanity. That's why you're going crazy about China, like in the first post, but China has called your bluff.
"We must rebuild the Wealth of our country and create true RECIPROCITY."
We had wealth. You pissed it away. Trade deficits occur naturally. You fix them when necessary. If we can't make it at the same price in our own country, don't waste the time. The traitor is not a trader.
Now we come to some items that are some valid points. The question is are they in effect now?
China is the only one that can be accused of currency manipulation. 145% tariff isn't doing anything to make any change.
Dumping below cost we've taken care of on steel and aluminum with proper tariffs. Trump seems to think Canada is doing this with lumber. Did anyone ask anyone in the industry if a tariff was necessary?
Government subsidies. How about getting rid of ones on oil and gas companies? How about Boeing and Apple? There's a whole slew of companies that don't need them.
Genetically modified organisms everyone has the right to refuse. Mexico has expressly said they don't want GMO corn. If people won't eat it, it makes no sense to try to sell it to them. Try strains developed the old way instead of Roundup Ready corn that contains lots of Roundup pesticide.
I can't believe he brought up the Japanese "bowling ball test." On March 14, 2018, Trump brought it up saying that the Japanese would take a bowling ball and drop it from 20 ft up onto the hood of a car, and if it dented, it didn't pass the test. The next day Sarah Huckabee Sanders was trying to do damage control and said that Trump was just joking about it. Apparently not, because he still believes it. 7 years later. As I've said a million times, once Trump gets a thought in his head it never leaves.
The IP theft, especially by China, is a problem. Tariffs, however, don't fix it. This is when you negotiate trade treaties, get the country to stop the counterfeits in their own country in return for something. Secure computer networks at companies is the first step for stopping electronic data theft. Most companies don't find out about security patches they should have installed until it's too late.
Transshipping is used worldwide with containers. Sometimes it's used to hide gray market items and counterfeits. But it's a perfectly valid method of cargo getting from one destination to another. The way to cheat is to have a bogus manifest for a container and nobody at customs opens and checks it. Who's got the labor to do that on every one?
Trump is still thinking tariffs are the only way to deal with trade deficits. I wonder what the trade deals are to get rid of a country's tariff. How many country leaders have to make the trek to Washington to deal with this? Trump loves the attention.
They laughed at Trump at the United Nations. They laughed at Trump behind his back at economic summits. He's skipping the G20 in October because it's being held in South Africa whose crime is a small change in land ownership on vacant land. He will only go see dictators. His first visit will be to Saudi Arabia in May.
He was originally planning to visit China in April, but that's not happening. He's supposed to travel to United Kingdom in June.
How long will Trump hold onto the 10% tariff. What happens after the 90 days suspension?
It's all that uncertainty that is driving markets down, draining consumer confidence, and changing how the world operates. Just because one man doesn't understand history and how tariffs work.
I thought I was done, but Trump picked up this morning with another rant.
He still is trying to pressure Jerome Powell to drop interest rates. I'm not sure if just the price of oil going down counts as energy costs going way down. The cost of gasoline hasn't gone down. It takes oil companies a long time with a steady price of oil to bring down gas prices. Or they just pocket the higher profit.
Food prices are going up, not down.
He finds a new thing to blame on Joe Biden with "Biden's egg disaster!" The only disaster we're going to see today is Trump at the Easter Egg Roll at the White House.
I would like to know exactly what he thinks the "things" are that are trending down, besides his intelligence. Inflation was down 0.1% in March. But Inflation is still there.
"... just what I predicted it would do..." Claim credit when there is any good news. Blame it on Biden when there isn't. But, there was no prediction I remember hearing. This was before your insane tariffs. April reports will be as disasterous as they can become.

You just caused a recession. A depression could follow or maybe the whole thing is stagnation.
He already called Jerome Powell "Too Late" for the last several days. Because Powell thinks Trump is an idiot, without saying it directly, Powell is "a major loser."
Trump has gone so bonkers he then says "To Late" instead of "Too Late."
Insinuating that the Fed dropped interest rates to help Biden and Harris is ridiculous. He knows that. He just likes to whine. "Oh, Jerome...can't you do it for me, please?"
"How did that work out?"
You being elected didn't work out for the U.S. or the rest of the world. We got a Day One dictator that didn't give it up. The many that voted for you are having second, third and fourth thoughts about their mistake and are now joining the rest of us who knew you were bad for America and the world.
Not 100 days in and we're all trying to figure out how to get rid of you, and you give us more ammunition every day.
