It’s Friday as I’m writing this and it just occurred to me that this will publish on Easter morning. I hope everyone who celebrates has a glorious day. In case you don’t know, I am not particularly religious. I haven’t cared much about Easter since I was a small girl. My parents used to assemble two Easter baskets apiece for both my brother and me and hide them somewhere in the house. They weren’t cheap with the candy, either. Besides the standard colored eggs and jellybeans our baskets were full of chocolate bunnies and Russell Stover cream filled chocolate eggs. Later we went to church. Easter was one of the few times out of the year when we went.
What was Easter like when you were growing up? Was it a time for reflection or celebration or was it just another Sunday?
Anyway, on with the bebop tunes.
