Russian forces conducted a series of missile and drone strikes against Ukraine overnight on April 18 and 19.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russian forces launched three Iskander-M ballistic missiles and two Onyx anti-ship cruise missiles from occupied Crimea, and three Kh-31P anti-radar missiles from an unspecified location.[69] The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russian forces also launched 87 Shahed and decoy drones from Kursk City; Millerovo, Rostov Oblast; Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Krasnodar Krai; and occupied Hvardiiske, Crimea. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Ukrainian forces downed 33 Shahed drones over Ukraine and that 36 decoy drones were “lost,” likely due to Ukrainian electronic warfare (EW) interference. Ukrainian officials reported that Russian strikes damaged civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv, Odesa, Sumy, Donetsk, and Zaporizhia oblasts.[70] x x YouTube Video

Trump denies being ‘played’ by Putin as Russia launches overnight attack
x Ukraine did what he asked; Russia did not; and now he will blame Ukraine and cozy up to Russia. This whole peace thing is a distraction from the ongoing war that Ukraine has no choice but to fight because it is being asssulted every day.

x It’s extraordinary that so much media still reports on Trump with the old, redundant tools of the trade. He lied about Ukraine, then he tried to extort Ukraine, and having failed he threatens to walk away from Ukraine. The idea that he was ever going to do anything unwelcome to Putin is ridiculous. — James O’Brien (@mrjamesob.bsky.social) April 19, 2025 at 3:48 AM
x The US Trump regime continues its assault on Ukraine, not only are demanding Ukrainians surrender to Russia, they also are pushing to lift sanctions on Russia which would help restore Putin's military.

x As expected, Trump has failed in his "diplomacy" between Russia & Ukraine.
He made every possible mistake:
1. Knew nothing;
2. Believed all Russian lies;
3. Loved Putin;
4. Posed no conditions on Russia;
5. Punished Ukraine severely for nothing;
6. Tried to extort Ukraine. /1 — Anders Åslund (@andersaslund.bsky.social) April 19, 2025 at 1:33 PM

x As Ukraine and the US prepare to sign an agreement on rare earth minerals (widely viewed in Ukraine as extortionate), recall that the Budapest Memorandum the US and others signed with Ukraine forbids economic coercion.
