Ever found yourself silenced when talking with a Republican. Not that you want to say nothing, but you can’t figure out what to say that will get through?

This article by Kyle Munkittrick is a short review of a book by Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson, but the article itself is a guideline for the elevator speech we all need in our back pocket.

Moral Abundance proposes that material and technological abundance, by removing constraints or scarcity, can mitigate moral issues and render some specific moral questions effectively obsolete. By changing the landscape of debate, abundance makes it easier for everyone, on net, to be better than they would or could otherwise be. Moral Abundance shifts our attention from the moral question in front of us to the opportunity to eliminate it all together.

No more Trolley dilemmas!
