The Trump regime is ordering the US State Department to change what it calls human rights. [1]

NPR is reporting that the US State Department, under the direct order of the Trump administration, is changing what it calls “human rights”, in report documents meant to inform upcoming congressional decisions.
Apparently, these are no longer to be considered violations of human rights:
Harsh prison conditions.
Government corruption.
Restrictions on participation in the political process.
Denying freedom of movement.
Denying freedom of peaceful assembly.
Retaining political prisoners without due process.
Restrictions on free and fair elections.
State Department employees are directed to "streamline" its reports by stripping them down to only that which is legally required, to align them with current US policy and "recently issued Executive Orders".
Among other topics ordered to be struck from the reports:
Reports of violence and discrimination against LGBTQ+ people.
All references to DEI.
Involuntary or coercive medical or psychological practices.
Arbitrary or unlawful interference with privacy.
Serious restrictions to internet freedom.
Extensive gender-based violence.
Violence or threats of violence targeting people with disabilities.
The reports will still include human rights matters that are specifically required by law, including war crimes and genocide, antisemitism, worker rights and child marriage.
