There may be some for whom Martin Nieboller’s poem (“First they came ...”) is an anachronism speaking to a time they don’t remember.
Perhaps they are more versed in the Star Wars history/mythology. I’ve seen various analogies, but the one that strikes me as most fitting for our elected leaders in Congress is that of Jar Jar Binks eloquently speaking up to grant more power to the executive:
