I want you uncomfortable
Yes, I want you uncomfortable!
I admit it, I want you uncomfortable to the extreme
So uncomfortable, your scalp and skin itch!
I want you in shambles
When racial issues are discussed
Pondering if this is you or not
I want you to be in shock
When laws made to entrap us
Catch you or yours in their net
I want you to be horrified
To discover that in your history
You are the bad guys, the demons
I want you to be petrified
When the trans child that kills themselves
Turns out to be one of yours
I want you to be furious
When police brutality
Comes knocking on YOUR door
I want you enraged
When YOUR child is the victim
Of laws from those YOU voted for
I want you terrified
Next time you cast a ballot
Of what it could mean for YOU
Oh yes I want you uncomfortable
So uncomfortable, you can’t sleep at night
So uncomfortable, you start to notice things
I want you so damn uncomfortable
So uncomfortable, you start to want to change things
So uncomfortable, you decide to change things!
Be uncomfortable
It will benefit me
It will benefit YOU.
