Two Good Events to Maintain Sanity: Senator Van Hollen FINALLY meets Garcia, Gomez-Lopez is RELEASED [1]

With every moment seemingly a new horror in the landscape we now live in, it’s important to keep up where there are positive outcomes (or something suggestive there may be one). We have these today/tonight in two of the most notorious terror shows in the past week.
First, as almost everyone must be aware of at this point, Abrego Garcia, who was staying in Maryland legally with no legitimate convincing gang ties of any kind, was deported to El Salvador WITHOUT DUE PROCESS, and housed in what by definition meets the criteria of a concentration camp.
Strong Super Tough leader Trump who wants to conquer Canada and Greenland indicated he had no authority to effectuate Garcia’s release from the prison the US is paying El Salvador house deportees (you really couldn’t make this up….).
Even after the regime admitted this was an error, Garcia did not have due process, and the Supreme Court ruled 9-0 he needed to be returned in order to be given due process, Senator Van Hollen traveled to meet with Garcia. He was stopped by soldiers 3 km away. I had a feeling this was it, at least for now. However, it appears now has been able to meet with him and there are photos. It is a sliver of light in this black hole of despair affair. I personally thought he might not even be alive anymore, if he is alive and relatively healthy, there is hope still.
Second, Juan Carlos Gomez-Lopez, a US CITIZEN, was taken into custody by ICE, which is terrible enough. However, his mother showed his birth certificate to a judge and he was STILL held in custody. Fortunately, he was just released, following the ominous indication from the judge earlier that they did not have authority to release him given ICE’s request to hold him for 48 hours(yes that happened). There were protestors there as well, so we can’t know for sure, but perhaps that expedited the release.
These are reminders of the two truths everyone must not only accept but keep close to heart every single day.
If some of us are unsafe, we are all unsafe.
If we stick together, we may make it through, if we cower and acquiesce we certainly won’t.
