The myth of Conservatism is Dead. [1]

The two guiding principles, supposedly, of the Republican Party and more specifically, Conservatism, has been a less powerful Federal Government and greater states rights.
The last three months have put that myth to bed once and for all. Where are states rights for blue states that want to protect LGBTQ people. Trump told the Governor of Maine what to do with their states rights.
The guts to numerous government programs may lower cost and allow more tax cuts for the uber wealthy but it makes the Federal government more powerful since they can decide which states get federal dollars and which do not.
It was not okay to conservatives when the Feds tried to protect voting rights by preventing states from putting up barriers but it is perfectly okay for the Feds to tell the states to requiring states to put up barriers.
The entire premise of states right’s conservatism has been totally debunked. Any future attempt for any Republican to use a state’s rights argument should be dismissed as the farce that it is,
