I can’t. I can’t understand, can’t stomach, can’t stop being scared, can’t stop being angry, can’t believe it’s come to this. It’s too much, and I know it’s just going to get worse. We need an uprising, but Trump will just deploy the military and quash any attempt. How can the people fight a tyrannical government when that government has the largest military in the world?

My response:

Ya know, that was exactly my attitude towards the nationalist arses when they whined about being oppressed and that there needed to be an uprising and overthrow of the Biden administration. He did a fine job and is currently rated about 14th on the presidential ratings. I scoffed and said that if they had a riot or started a rebellion or guerilla war, the national guard and if need be, the military would crush them and they would spend years in jail or be in the ground. And we all know that they were absolutely full of malarkey. But now the shoe is on the other foot. The election process was usurped by propaganda, Citizen's United, gerrymandering, laws that partially or completely disenfranchised voters, and likely direct counting manipulation and election fraud. 34% of eligible voters put him in office. He is profoundly corrupt, and has corrupted Congress and the Judiciary. We are correct, we are the patriots, we have justice, ethics, and the law on our side. But all of those forces have been saying for the last 24 years, even the last 51 years, they have been saying screw the law. Screw the law you make, we will not abide. We will not obey the laws you make, we will only obey the laws we make, and we will make you obey our laws too. That is the crux of it. And now the SCOTUS is backing him, and Congress has become irrelevant. No, the military is not going to exercise a military coup to take him down, he already has purged the military, and will continue doing so. If anything, the military will obey the Commander in Chief, even to the point of shooting citizens. Federal enforcement, along with compliant state, county, and local law enforcement, will comply and abet this treason.

He has cut off all education funds to Maine because they refused to comply with DEI. I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings is out of the Naval Academy, while Mein Kompf is still on the shelf. (I personally agree that Mein Kompf should be there in order to teach history to the cadets and show them what we fought against.) But that is not why it is still there. That book is there to draw cadets into fascism. The Angelou book is not there because is does not fit the White Nationalist narrative. All this is right out of Orwell's 1984. Suppress all dissent. Thought crime. One person has already been deported for thought crime.

One might have woken up this morning and realized that you walk out your door today into a fascist state. But if you think that started today, you would be wrong. This has been building for decades. Look into Rachel Maddow's Prequel and her blog Ultra on the history of fascism and straight up Naziism in the USA in the 20th century. It has been here a long time. The McCarthy hearings were anti-communist. There was a miniscule number of communists in the US, and only a small fraction of them were Stalin-Lenin-Khrushchev ideologues. The majority of them were economic Marxists, more philosophical than subversive and violent. The anti-democratic force in the 1950's was not communism, it was fascism. Ezra Taft Benson had those tendencies. Eisenhower fought well against it. He was a Republican. The Democratic Party has done nothing but loose for quite a while now. They are against restricting abortion, for voting rights, for civil rights, for the environment, for LGBTQ rights, for unions, for government employees, for healthy international relations, for women’s health, for education, for your health, employment, and retirement. They are against extremism and fascism. What has happened over the last 60 years? What is the outcome today of all of this? A loss. On. Every. Single. Count.

What we have today is corporate oligarchical fascism. It was laid out over the past 30 years, growing from wealth and co-opting religion under the guise of abortion. Not a single Democrat, congress or executive, has lifted a finger to stop it. They did not prosecute sedition, treason, or collusion, at least not the people that caused it. They did not pass any laws to try and stop this. In modern free countries, fascist ideology is not illegal to think about, but it is illegal to act upon. I am a Democrat. Well I have been, but now feel that the Democratic Party is failing, or has failed us. The Democratic Party sat in the oven when it was turned on and thought they could take another 10 degrees. Now they are baked. The roast is finished and it is but being garnished. The US has been a fascist state since Reagan, and now the fruiting body of the tree fungus of fascism has popped out and is spewing its spores everywhere.

What are we going to do about it? I don't know. But don't count on the Democratic Party to save you. They are still seeking agreement, negotiation, compromise, appeasement. They will do all that until they are dragged out of the house chamber and executed in the rotunda. Saddam Hussain did that. I predict that we will too. Or very very close to that. The GOP has purged Dems from state majorities all over the country. Now they are purging Republican moderates and and GOPers that thinks what the constitution says or what their constituents might want has any bearing on the GOP agenda. It does not. In Texas they have purged by primary Republicans that voted against public money to private schools. Why did they dissent? Only because there are no private religious schools in the counties they represent. This is happening one way or the other across the country. The only thing that counts is what the highest bidder for the corruption Trump bit coin of the day wants, and that is it. The top of the pecking order is Putin, they American oligarchs, then white Christian nationalist ideologues. After that, nobody counts. Not you, not me, not Congress, not the courts. Il fait fini. Who is going to stop this? No one will be successful. The American experiment has concluded.
