The Statue of Misery [1]

Do not come to my shores

They are not safe for you anymore

You will find no help here

You will only find fear

You who seek safety and security

You who are weak, poor, tired and weary

My shores are no longer safe for thee

They have traps to drain the blood of thee

Do not come to my shores

You’re not welcome anymore

There’s no dream for you here

Hate has taken hold here

You who have traveled for miles

You who have bled your feet dry

Turn back, go elsewhere, anywhere

This way the dream is now a nightmare

Do not come to my shores

You’re not welcome anymore

Do not come to my shores

They are not safe anymore

They will reap your children from your breasts

Sink razors sharp blades deep in your flesh

They will put your children in cages

Laugh as you weep in futile rage

Heed my warnings refugee

I am the Statue of Liberty

Do not come to the land of the free

There is no freedom, not even for me
