Republicans In Congress Are Going to El Salvador. For Their Pix Taken In Front Of Prisoners [1]

While Democratic members of Congress are planning trips to El Salvador to try and get Kilmer Garcia back, Republicans are now flying down to get their pictures taken in the CECOT concentration camp in front of prisoners. Just like Kristi Noem. So far, Jason Smith and Riley Moore decided to play Tough Guy Influencer.
These Republicans may surmise it plays well with Trump and their base. Hopefully it disgusts most Americans. I’m old enough to remember the shocking photos that came out of Abu Ghraib in Iraq during Bush years.

And I refuse to get into a semantic quarrel about whether we are technically at war and whether this is a war crime. This is a violation of the Geneva Convention that concerns “Shielding prisoners of war from public curiosity”.
Regardless, posing for these photos is a Human Rights Violation.
