The administration, all its spokesgoons, and its propaganda mouthpieces at Fox News, continue to lie their asses off about the men renditioned to an El Salvador gulag. They insist that all of them were terrible people, gang members, rapists, murderers, etc., without a shred of evidence.
This is defamation. And the damage has been severe. What I want to know is, can their relatives (such as Garcia’s wife) bring defamation cases against these liars? The press secretary MIGHT be protected by her position, although she has not been hedging her statements or saying “it is the position of this administration that...”, she has been straight up lying and accusing the men. Jesse Watters has no defense at all. Indeed Fox ought to know better than to let him defame people on air, but they probably think the people affected can’t afford to challenge them or don’t dare poke their heads up.
I would GLADLY contribute to a fund to bring suit against everyone possible that is spouting these lies.
