Thousands of IRS employees offer to resign en masse [1]

The New York Times is reporting that over 20,000 IRS employees signed up to take DOGE’s offer for them to resign. Trump has always hated paying his fair share of taxes, and now he is in a position to destroy the IRS itself, from within. This move will weaken the IRS’s ability to collect revenue, investigate fraud and sue tax cheats for years to come.
The agency is already understaffed and struggling to audit a lot of crypto bros, who use fraud and every creative loophole available to pay pittance in taxes on their record bounties of income from the crypto mines. And tax payers are already complaining about waiting longer than expected for their refunds, while inflationary prices and tariffs are taking more and more of their paychecks and almost no disposable income left to spare to balance their household budgets.
