The DNC is still MIA [1]

It is week three of the Liberation Day madness set off by Trump’s incomprehensible (by design) Tariff policy, yet I still haven’t seen what the Democratic Party’s official response to it is.

Actually, now that I come to think of it, I have no idea what the Democratic Party’s official position is on any topic in relation to the Trump 2.0 Regime Agenda — maybe it’s out there and I missed it, but I doubt it. And if I missed it, it means pretty much everyone else in the country missed it along with me.

We heard that this guy (Martin) was supposed to be a fighter — he was going to launch a new 50 state strategy and all that — what a fizzle it’s turned out to be. The only folks (AOC & Bernie) taking it to the streets and getting noticed are doing so without DNC support. In the Senate, only Cory Booker has stood out as willing to use the power of the institution to stop the Trump agenda — recall that when the House had provided complete solidarity behind Hakeem Jeffries to stop the supposed CR Budget, Schumer knifed him in the back.

In short, it’s been disjointed, quiet and perplexing at the DNC since Trump took office (and especially so after Martin became Chair) . It’s almost as if the Democratic Party has exited the national stage altogether (with the exception of providing support for various special elections).

The Democratic Party in 2025 has so far amassed serious record of failure:

There is no unified strategy

There is no unified message

There has been no serious attempt to block the Trump 2.0 Agenda at all

The party continues to poll poorly while its voters wonder what the heck happened to them

As usual, the only gains have been provided to us as gifts from what should be the most unpopular politician in the history of our nation. People genuinely seem to hate what Trump is doing, although when they fail to see anyone fighting against it and no real alternative message, that allows the administration to continue with its agenda garnering much more support than it would otherwise have.

The current Democratic Rope a Dope Strategy (e.g. hoping that Trump will just tick everyone off so much that they’ll come back running to Democrats), is both lazy and stupid:

1 — It is allowing the Trump 2.0 Agenda to move forward and get further than it should…

2 — It is actually creating nearly as much resentment from Democrats against the Democratic Party for not fighting, than it is against Trump for causing the crisis.

3 — In failing to provide the alternative vision in clear terms, it jeopardizes all future elections (and possible Opposition actions).

This situation is simply not acceptable. The DNC must either organize an Opposition immediately or replace its current leadership until they can find someone willing to fight back. If they can’t, then we need to consider introducing a third party that is willing to fight.
