I’m pretty good about discarding my seasonings when they expire. Usually if the top of the container is dusty, I throw it away. I was cooking some fish the other day and reached for the Old Bay, and I did wonder when it expired.
I think I was thrown by the front of the can saying something about 70 years. What did I think, it was good for 70 years? I think it says they’ve been happily serving me for 70. Turns out it had expired, well maybe not expired but it was “Best if used by 2014”. Oh, well, I used it and put it back in the cupboard.
The fish was good! Might look for a new can, maybe something smaller this time, something I can use up before 10 years.
The movie of the week is Life List. At the end, I wanted to make a life list for myself. Sure, the girl in the movie was 13 when she made the list and I’m 68, but still, I might just make a list.
The TV show of the week is North of North. I like everything about it. Would be a good watch in the heat of the summer. The scenery is beautiful, and the place is Thinking Fella level cold. The music is fantastic, as is the fashion. Ooh, the earrings, I want some of those earrings! And the winter coats, I’ve never seen such good-looking coats.
