Itzl Alert Network: Tuesday, 15th of April, 2025: The Big Bang [1]

['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.']

Date: 2025-04-14

Welcome!

I am posting diaries inspired by some of my books.

This week’s diary is inspired by:

“A Brief History of Time”

by Stephen Hawking

The little dog is named Itzl. As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at, to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wildfires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off Daily Kos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on Daily Kos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care! IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news! This is our current schedule of regular IAN diary writers: Monday: Youffraita Tuesday: bigjacbigjacbigjac Wednesday: Pam from Calif Thursday: art ah zen Friday: FloridaSNMOM Saturday: FloridaSNDad Sunday: loggersbrat

The chapters:

Conclusion

I read this book back in the nineties, if I recall correctly.

I just now skimmed over “The Origin and Fate of the Universe.”

This pretty much forms my ideas about the universe, even though I do not totally agree with the book.

The idea is suggested that there may be an infinite number of big bang universes.

I call them “big bang clusters of galaxies” since the word “universe” should mean all of them, collectively.

Anyway.

It seems to me that there are, indeed, an infinite number of big bang clusters of galaxies.

And all of them just keep exploding and collapsing, over and over.

The book does not say that.

The book says that when they collapse, they vanish!

Seems to me that the uncertainty principle would mean that they would not vanish; that would only happen in a perfect collapse, and we do not have anything perfect, with that uncertainty principle in action.

Anyway.

It truly seems to me that the clusters of galaxies have always been doing what they do, (exploding and collapsing,) and will always keep on doing what they do.

Seems to me, there is no supervisor, no god.

Therefore, I truly do not believe in the following things:

God

Angels

Demons

Life after death

An Inner spirit inside anything or inside anyone

Free will

Sin

Good works

Those last four points mean that I am convinced that I am a thing, an animal, with no inner spirit, and no free will.

Every event in the universe is an accident, including all human behavior.

So, if I did something I later regret, there is no blame.

It was an accident.

If I did something well, there is no credit.

It was an accident.

However.

I feel that I truly agree with most religious leaders and believers, on their main points of advice on how we should live our lives.

I truly like, for example, most of the Bible stories that were written to teach us how to interact with each other.

The Prodigal Son, and the Good Samaritan, for example.

Well, give tender loving care to yourselves and to your family, friends, and neighbors.

Including your IAN friends here at the IAN group.

Hugs!
