Good morning, everyone. How about a few soft, jazzy tunes by Norah Jones this morning? But first...

Since I have had a little extra energy for the past few days I have taken it upon myself to go through my closets and get rid of some clothes that, thanks to my Wegovy, no longer fit. I won’t be throwing all if it away, however. I know myself too well.
My state will only allow me to be on my weight loss injections for one year. After that, I will be required to go off of it for six months. If I regain the weight in that time, no more Wegovy for me. If I can keep it off I can get six more months’ worth of injections. I suppose the state want us to truly adjust to our new way of eating rather than using the meds as a crutch.
I intend to put my old too-big clothes into three piles: one to store, one to donate and one to throw away. Youtube is full of instructions for both decluttering and assembling capsule wardrobes. As a homebody, I am lucky. My capsule wardrobe can be mostly jeans, tees, and sweats. Though it would be nice to have a suit jacket, I really don’t need one. It’s a good thing I don’t. Off-the-rack blazers almost never fit me well.
As for what I want to donate, I had better launder it before I take it to the local thrift store. Note: the first thing most thrifts do, after inspection, is wash their donated clothes. But my local shop has something against cats and my cats brush up against the pants legs when they are looking for some quiet time in my closet. Management will throw out a pair of perfectly wearable pair of jeans if there is any cat hair on them.
Deciding what to throw away should be easy. If it looks at all old, stained or worn it’s going in the trash. Some people think thrift stores want their old, worn out crap. No, they don’t. If it’s too shabby for you to wear in public why would anyone else want to pay for it?
But enough with my organizing tips. I better get sorting again before I run out of energy.
Our prolific contributor P Carey has become an esteemed MOT emeritus, so there are slots available for bloggers on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If interested contact officebss or Ozarkblue via KOSmail. Blank-slate diaries will fill in those unused slots in the meantime.
Now on with the music.
So what’s on your mind this morning?
