State Department employees ordered to snitch on anti-Christian coworkers [1]

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has ordered State Department employees to report other employees who might have displayed "anti-Christian bias" during the previous administration, based on an executive order issued by President Trump in February. The Department will work with an administration-wide task force, so presumably employees of all departments will be scrutinized and no one will be exempt.

This troubles me for a couple of reasons: first, because it flies in the face of the Constitution's "establishment clause" by focusing on a specific religion; and second because, as a Christian myself, I respect those who believe differently or don't believe at all. Supposedly, the task force will be looking for any instances of anti-religious bias but I have serious doubts. Where is the concern over anti-Muslim sentiments? Anti-Budhist sentiments? Of course, there isn't any.

These people talk a good game about antisemitism but it's just a smokescreen for suppression of speech they don't like. None of them seem to care about anti-Palestinian rhetoric. Frankly, the people proposing this crap wouldn't know a Christian if one bit them. If they did, they'd never suggest it.

"Peace on earth, good will to men" (and women and non-binary folks and anyone else I might have missed) won't be achieved by snitching on each other for deviation from approved speech or thought. It will instead be achieved, if it ever is, by loving our neighbors as ourselves.
