If you’re a Social Security recipient, are you scared yet? Yeah, me too.
I try not to doom scroll on what Trump, Musk and DOGE might do, but it ain’t easy. The House GOP have jumped in trying to do their part in dismantling ACA via defending Medicaid, but that’s not my direct personal concern. Yet.
If you’re on Medicare, you should be aware that the your premiums for Medicare are deducted from your Social Security check. That may include your Medicare Advantage if that’s the plan you took.
Have you asked yourself what happens if there’s no Social Security check for these premiums to be withheld? I was curious. One answer I found is that you will be responsible for those premiums yourself. Which begs the next question for way too many; What if your only income source is/was your Social Security? No Social Security. No Medicare. No Medicaid. What will you do?
Is it Trump, Musk and the GOP’s ultimate goal to cull half of the retired population via starvation and no medical treatment available?
We also already know that Trump and Musk have never heard of or care to understand why children are receiving SSI checks via survivor’s benefits. But Members of Congress know, or should know. But then at least half of the House GOP are idiots. Whether their ignorance is real or intentional is hard to tell for some, but others truly belong in the idiocracy.
